Candidates shall meet one of the following conditions:
* be pursuing a master or doctorate degree in the United States in law, economics, international relations, trade policy or business administration ("related fields"); or
* be teaching or researching in any of the related fields; or
* be working in a law firm or organization in the United States in any of the related fields.
Upon submission of an application, the prospective member shall attend an interview with the ABCI Institute's Chairman. Thereafter, membership will be subject to the approval of all members of the Institute.
The members of the ABCI Institute are required to attend and actively participate in regular meetings held in Washington, D.C. Members are required to make an oral presentation to the group on a pre-approved topic at least once a year. Members are also encouraged to write an article to be published in the ABCI Institute's annual publication.
For the year of 2006, the membership annual fee established by the Board of Directors is US$ 50.00 (fifty U.S. dollars). The annual fee is subject to change. Fees are only due upon membership approval. Please contact our Treasurer for further information regarding our annual fee.
Honor certificates will be issued to all members who comply with their obligations and have their articles included in the ABCI InstituteI's annual publication.
